Today’s Topic: The Story
In 1973, as a senior in high school “The Story” was the war in Vietnam. It was winding down, which was important to me. There was a draft lottery, and my selective service number was 16. If it had been 1971, I would have been drafted. In 1973 I was not since the draft was suspended.
That is not the point of todays’ topic.
“The Story” was reported by Walter Cronkite for CBS, John Chancellor for NBC, and Howard K. Smith and Harry Reasoner for ABC. In subsequent years they were followed by anchors Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather and Peter Jennings.
They reported “The Story” and many others over the years.
They were never “The Story.”
There are the blatant “journalists” that don’t report “The Story”, they want to be “The Story”. They are Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh (may he rest in peace), Mark Levin and my new favorite Jesse Watters and many others. Are they interested in reporting the news, like the distinguished names above?
No, they are interested in getting rich.
Their wealth has not been affected by their loyalty to Donald Trump.
The Fox people above didn’t pay $787 million. Rupert Murdoch and the shareholders of Fox…
