The public education system is broken. I was parochially educated and when transferred to a public school as a high school senior, it was a shock. As an adult, my two children were public schooled and I took a solid interest in the board of education. I found corruption in the board, discouraged teachers who were judged based in their students’ standardized test scores, the NEA propagandizing state actions to panic membership and students caught in the cross fire.
